Last updated: · Applies to wealthcompare.co.uk and all Wealth Compare services.
Plain-English summary: Wealth Compare gives you a comparison tool and general financial information, not personal financial advice. 1. Acceptance of these terms
By using wealthcompare.co.uk (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. You must be at least 18 years old to use Wealth Compare.
2. What Wealth Compare is — and isn't
Wealth Compare is a financial benchmarking and comparison tool. It allows users to compare self-reported financial information (such as income, savings, debt, and investments) against statistical benchmarks derived from official UK statistics and our own anonymised survey data, and provides general educational information and product suggestions based on that comparison.
Wealth Compare is not a bank, lender, financial adviser, credit reference agency, or insurance provider, and does not hold or move your money.
3. Not financial advice
Nothing on Wealth Compare constitutes financial, investment, tax, pension, or legal advice. The comparisons, scores, recommendations, and any "what if" simulations are based on generalised statistical benchmarks and the limited information you provide — they do not account for your full financial circumstances and should not be relied upon as the basis for any financial decision.
Before making any financial decision, you should seek advice from an authorised, regulated financial adviser. Where we recommend third-party products (including via affiliate links), this is general informational signposting, not a personal recommendation suitable for your specific circumstances within the meaning of the Financial Conduct Authority's rules.
4. Accounts, eligibility & security
To use Premium features, you must create an account with accurate information and keep your login details secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
5. Premium subscriptions & payments
- Premium is offered as a recurring monthly or annual subscription, and a separate one-time "Deep Dive" report purchase, at the prices displayed on our Pricing page at the time of purchase.
- Payments are processed securely by our third-party payment provider. We do not store your full payment card details.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account settings; you will retain access until the end of your current billing period.
- We may change Premium pricing with reasonable notice; continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price for your next billing cycle.
6. Cancellations & refunds
As a UK consumer, you generally have a 14-day right to cancel a digital subscription under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, unless you have already accessed the Premium content, in which case this right may not apply once service has begun, as disclosed at the point of purchase. The one-time "Deep Dive" report is delivered immediately on purchase and is non-refundable once the report has been generated, except where required by law. [This section should be reviewed and finalised with your specific consumer-rights wording before launch.]
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to: provide false information with intent to manipulate benchmark data; attempt to access other users' accounts or data; use automated tools to scrape or overload the Service; resell or redistribute our reports or benchmark data without permission; or use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
8. Affiliate links & third-party products
Wealth Compare may earn a commission when you click through to, or take out, a product from one of our affiliate or referral partners, at no additional cost to you. These are clearly marked throughout the Service. We do not control, and are not responsible for, the products, services, pricing, or terms offered by third parties. See our Affiliate Disclosure for full detail.
9. Intellectual property
All content, design, benchmarking methodology, and software on Wealth Compare is owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works from our platform or benchmark data without our written permission, except for your own personal, non-commercial use of your own report.
10. Limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, Wealth Compare is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from your use of the Service, including financial decisions made in reliance on information provided. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury, or fraud, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under UK law.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you breach these terms. You may stop using the Service, or delete your account, at any time.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales (or Scotland/Northern Ireland if you are resident there, per applicable consumer protection rules), and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that jurisdiction.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Important note: this is a structured starting template, not a substitute for legal advice. Before public launch, these terms should be reviewed by a qualified solicitor familiar with UK consumer protection law and, given the financial-comparison nature of the business, ideally one with FCA financial promotions experience — see the note on our Affiliate Disclosure page for more on this point.
